The invention of texting is genius, as it has bestowed upon us lone rangers the ability to comfortably ensconced ourselves behind the protective barrier of a screen. We are thus able to behold our fellow human beings from a suitable distance. Thanks to ever-advancing technology, it has become widely understood that the conventional act of spontaneously appearing at someone's doorstep, accompanied by a firm knock on the door, is no longer deemed socially acceptable. So if you do that, don't. It's weird.

Now, we can leisurely observe our mobile devices illuminate incoming messages and conveniently choose to ignore them at our discretion. The freedom we all have to allocate our precious time within the serene confines of our own bed, living room couch, and the secure walls of our cherished abode. Why do we call ourselves lone rangers, rather than the obvious 'introvert'? Well, we're not saying we aren't introverts, we just like to spice the word up a little.

We can't really fathom why extroverts bother to join the vast multitudes of people when it's possible to instead observe them from a safe distance, therefore maintaining personal boundaries. In our not-so-humble opinion, everyone needs to respect those a little bit more.
